The 60,000-square-foot BMW Performance Center is located on a 134-acre site across from the BMW factory on US 101.

The complex includes a vehicle delivery center, a driver safety-training course and a training/conference center. At the delivery center, U.S. customers can take delivery of any BMW model sold in the USA.

The driver safety training course features a 1.7-mile driving course designed to create more than 35 different driving configurations. Seven separate areas are dedicated to skid pad, autocross, slalom, accident avoidance and performance driving. A one mile "other roads course" is specially designed for drivers to experience the capabilities of the X5 and X3 Sports Activity Vehicles.

New Driving Event Information:

2008 will continue 2007's enhanced Performance Center program, which was a huge success.

Like 2007, this years' program offers you the freedom to participate as you like with three hours of available course time and seven driving activities to choose from.

Additional Enhancements:

• Use Performance Center vehicles during your driving session. Not your tires, not your brakes. Drive someone else's car hard for a change!
• Experience the newly configured X course. This has been a great success at the Performance Center and it will fully test the vehicles' off road capabilities.

And, again like 2007, you'll be able to choose your time from four blocks - Friday AM, Friday PM, Saturday AM and Saturday PM.

Be sure to sign up for your time slot early - space is limited so you don't want to miss out on the excitement.

Shuttle buses will operate between the Zentrum and the Performance Center. Everyone will need to attend a 30 minute. briefing session in the Zentrum Auditorium before heading to the Performance Center.

Note: There will be a skills fee of $75 for each person who chooses to participate in the Performance Center driving events. Also, the minimum age for the Driving Event is 18.
